FWD Assurance VietNam Company Limited, formerly named Vietcombank – Cardif Life Insurance Co., Ltd, was established and operated under the Establishment and Operation License no. 55GP/KDBH dated October 23^rd, 2008 of the Minister of Finance; amended license no. 55/GPĐC1/KDBH issued by the Ministry of Finance on December 28^th, 2018; amended License no. 55/GPĐC2/KDBH issued by the Ministry of Finance on May 26^th, 2020 and amended License no. 55/GPĐC3/KDBH issued by the Ministry of Finance on June 10^th, 2020.

Vietnamese name: Cong ty TNHH FWD Viet Nam.
English name: FWD Assurance VietNam Company Limited.
Legal form: Single member limited liability company.
Owner: FWD Life Insurance Company (Bermuda) Limited with 100% ownership of charter capital. ^(*)
Operational period: 25 (twenty-five) years from the date of license issuance.
Business field: Life insurance.

Insurance operations: life insurance business (including whole life insurance, term life insurance, endowment insurance, pure endowment insurance, annuities, health insurance and personal accident insurance complementary to life insurance); reinsurance business; fund management, capital investment and other activities according to the provisions of law.

Note: (*) On 14^th March 2022, the transfer of 100% charter capital of FWD Assurance Vietnam Company Limited has been approved in principle by the Ministry of Finance for a certain number of investors. Currently, the Company is in process filing the amended license to be given by the Ministry of Finane to accept new owners and change the Owner’s name from  FWD Life Insurance Company (Bermuda) Limited to new investors.

Chairman of the Company

Mr. Chen Yi Chung was appointed as Chairman of the Company since June of 2022 based on the approval of the Ministry of Finance.

Professional qualification and experiences:

 -  MBA - University of Chicago Booth School of Business, USA.
 -  Mr. Chen is an experienced executive with a demonstrated history of working in the finance industry across Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Vietnam, with the accomplished leadership. Mr. Chen is holding his MBA degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business with Honors Distinction.

Appointed Actuary

Mr. Nguyen Anh Quang was appointed as the Company’s Appointed Actuary on 29th December 2023 based on the approval of Ministry of Finance as per the Letter 14445/BTC-QLBH.

Professional qualification and experiences:

 -  Bachelor of Mathematics, Double Honor of Finance & Risk Management Program and Actuarial Science by University of Waterloo - Canada.
 -  Be responsible for controlling and managing Company’s financial security. Mr. Quang has more than 10 years of working experience with important management positions in Actuary in life insurance companies.
